Intercept Roofing
At as a web designer and director at a marketing agency, I had the opportunity to redesign a website for Intercept Roofing, a local roofing and construction company in Tennessee, proudly owned and operated by local veterans.
Growth Points
- Both designed and managed this project at a marketing agency with two direct reports
- Pushed my design skill by experimenting with new Webflow animations and interaction
Research & Sitemap
After strategizing with the client, I began the project by studying competitor websites, noting their strengths and weaknesses and comparing them to their current site.
They had some existing branding, so I pulled from their guidelines to make a mood board based what I had learned about their company values. As a veteran owned and operated company, I decided on a visual direction that was inspired by the veteran ethos of hard work, disicpline, and teamwork.
Finally, I created a sitemap, establishing the new structure of the site and blocking content onto each page.
The Prototype
Their old website was outdated, lacked cohesion, and failed to establish clear user flow. The redesign needed to expand their brand identity, modernize the overall aesthetic, and update their navigation to optimize for both user experience and SEO.
With these goals in mind, I created a high-fidelity prototype in Figma, using both custom and standardized components.
The Final product
Built in Webflow in collaboration with a developer and SEO specialist, the website was designed, built, and launched within eight weeks under my management as director of web design and development.
